About me: Prior to attending the Masters in Finance programme at London Business School, Andrea was an investment banking analyst at Íslandsbanki, one of three largest banks in Iceland. Before that, she was a project manager in risk management also at Íslandbanki, a cross-functional role where she got the opportunity to leverage her communication and leadership skills. Andrea decided to transition into investment banking as she wanted to gain hands-on experience on the practical methods of investment. During her time in investment banking, Andrea worked with top-tier clients in relation to IPOs, share offerings, M&As and bond issuance.

Before joining Íslandsbanki, Andrea graduated with a BSc in Business Administration from Reykjavik University. Andrea was awarded Valedictorian and was a Dean‘s list honouree on multiple occasions. She also did an exchange programme with Copenhagen Business School during her undergraduate studies. Andrea is a certified securities broker.

During her MiF at LBS, Andrea plans to leverage her experience as a female working in the finance sector to actively participate in the Women in Business Club. Andrea is also an Executive Committee member of the Private Equity & Venture Capital Club and plans to transition into the private equity industry post-graduation. During her free time, Andrea enjoys CrossFit, travelling and spending time with friends.
