My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Lacking confidence as I felt that my profile was not as good as other applicants
About me: Hello! Alison here. I was born in Singapore, raised in Hong Kong, and then studied in Singapore for my undergraduate degree in Economics at the National University of Singapore. I come from a family business background in logistics, so most of my prior work experience is related to that. Aside from the logistics industry, I have also worked in strategy planning for New World Development in Hong Kong, a conglomerate that specialises in construction and real estate. Throughout my studies, I have had opportunities to live and gain international exposure in Atlanta, Hong Kong, Oxford and mainland China through exchanges and internships. I have also volunteered in Thailand and Cambodia and was awarded the Global Citizen award in secondary school. These experiences have contributed to my growth as a person, as I learn and reflect about other cultures, relating to them as an individual and opening my eyes to new perspectives. I am particularly interested in consulting, finance and the environment at the moment; I am still figuring out what I want to do for my summer internship before my second year at Fudan. As for extracurricular activities, I am currently active in the Asia Club and travelling and volunteering are a few of my passions. Looking forward to connecting with you guys!
