My greatest challenge when applying to business school was: GMAT and ensuring that my narrative was clearly communicated through my essays
About me: Originally from Philadelphia, I spent five years living in Washington D.C. where I worked in politics while attending George Washington University. While in D.C., I worked for lobbying organisations, political campaigns and political consulting firms. After an internship in Shanghai and one with the growth markets practice of PwC/Strategy& in Singapore, I pivoted careers towards consulting.
After arriving in London, I began looking for opportunities in consulting, and spent the summer working as an intern for Lothar Bohm Associates (LBA Branding), a brand consulting firm focusing on FMCG clients. I came to LBS to gain a more international perspective on the business world, and to gain a more global network that could not otherwise be achieved from attending a program in the US. Outside of academics, I am an amateur photographer, and enjoy swimming, travelling and reading.
My electives: Global Strategy; Brand Management; Emerging Markets
Why I chose to do the fourth term: I felt that I achieved the most value from my degree during the electives where I could focus on learning about the topics that interested me most. Another semester to gain even more skills and learnings seemed to be a great opportunity.
