Prior to joining the Masters in Finance (MiF) at LBS, Thomas was a senior analyst in the Growth Markets team of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Canada's second largest pension fund. In this role, he established a political risk practice and helped the fund devise and deploy its strategy in emerging markets, for all liquid and illiquid asset classes. He also contributed to extensive deal-sourcing efforts in Latin America and Asia.
Thomas started his career in the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs in Ottawa, Canada and Montevideo, Uruguay. He chose the MiF to hone his financial skills with exceptional classmates, in a school at the forefront of research and market trends.
Thomas has a M.A. in Political Science from McGill University, where he researched and published on political economy and electoral studies. Before that, he studied classical trumpet and played for the Levis Symphony Orchestra. He speaks French, Spanish, Portuguese and German. In his free time, Thomas restores and sails classic sailboats worldwide.
