My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Choosing the programme that best fits with my career plan, networking needs and personal development (i.e. improve interpersonal skills and broaden my horizon)

About me: I spent a year in South China University of Technology majoring in mathematics before taking a big jump to the Netherlands to start my business study at Rotterdam School of Management. During my bachelor study I gained solid knowledge about many business subjects, including finance, marketing and strategy development. Yet my knowledge was heavily theoretical and I am determined to improve my practical skills. As such, I decided to join MiM to further my management study in an interactive environment.
In these past five years, I have worked and studied in four countries and undertook diverse tasks to explore my fit for different industries and cultures. I particularly enjoy the international exposure and wish to become a global citizen in the future. In addition, my previous experience in consulting, private banking and business development made me realize that I am genuinely passionate about problem solving and interacting with people. Therefore, I continued my career exploration and did not hold myself back from considering many career options, including joining top consulting firms, boutiques and even start-ups. Moreover, I wish to start my career in Europe, and thus I choose to pursue my master at LBS so I can expand my network in Europe.
