Sara was born and raised in mainland China and went to Hong Kong to pursue a degree in economics and mathematics from Hong Kong Baptist University. After graduation, she joined Nomura Hong Kong economic research team where she developed her interest in the metals and mining industry and later on moved to Thomson Reuters to be precious metals analyst responsible for Greater China area. Having a service mindset, she transferred to a sales role as a buy-side account manager at Bloomberg and adopted a consultative approach to advise on clients’ technology landscapes. Having interned at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Investment Banking Division in London during the summer, she will continue pursuing a career in the financial industry.
Sara was drawn to London Business School by the true diversity of the MBA class and the collaborative and entrepreneurial vibe, while also being located in the centre of an international hub of business and culture. The flexibility in selecting the courses she wanted and the wide range of career opportunities available were also crucial for her.
Sara is the Co-Chair of the China Business Forum and Co-Lead of the Hong Kong Finance Trek. In her spare time, she likes discovering hidden cafés and restaurants while studying for her wine appreciation certificate. A good yoga place or a new adventurous sport always excites her.
