Francis is an investment professional with a proven record of accomplishment in generating value for investors and clients by helping senior executives make the right strategic investment decisions. Working across all asset classes for one of the largest global asset owners, combined with his consulting background, has allowed Francis to translate non-consensus views into actionable investment ideas with a focus on private markets and real assets. Keen on having a more positive impact, he became an active member of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment to do his part in bringing about long-term, sustainable value creation based on constructing strategic investment partnerships, teamwork and financial acumen. In parallel, understanding the importance of technological disruption, Francis was involved in launching CFA Montreal’s FinTech Committee to bridge the gap between investment professionals and start-ups by focusing on concrete FinTech applications to industry.
Francis is now pursuing the London Business School’s (LBS) Masters in Finance (MiF) programme to gain a unique combination of financial acumen, investing savvy and leadership skills through LBS’s thought-provoking faculty, powerful brand and incredibly diverse student body.
Francis’ career is strongly informed by his commitment to academic excellence, focus on building win-win propositions and competitive sports background. Competing at the provincial level in volleyball, downhill skiing, captaining teams in varsity soccer and American football has taught Francis valuable lessons and instilled values that he feels will remain a moral compass guiding his decisions for years to come.
