Fola is a member of the UK professional accounting body ACCA, and holds a BSc in Botany from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She started her career as a banking executive, working on a strategy implementation project for one of the top banks in Nigeria, GTBank. Prior to joining London Business School, Fola spent six years working as a financial analyst with the same bank, where she was responsible for providing key macroeconomic financial information and market insights to enhance business decisions and strategies. She also worked on the IFRS 9 implementation project of the Bank to ensure a smooth transition to the standard when it becomes effective in 2018.
Fola decided to join London Business School to deepen her finance knowledge and equip herself with the cutting-edge finance skills the School is known for, whilst also leveraging its diverse network. She is the recipient of the Masters in Finance Alumni Scholarship.
Fola is the Corporate industry lead for the Africa Club, through which she hopes to increase awareness about business and investment opportunities in Africa. In her spare time, Fola enjoys exploring the cultural diversity in London through its delicious cuisine, and is an ardent promoter of Yoga.
