Fatya was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she graduated from the University of Indonesia with a bachelor’s in accounting. Upon graduation, she joined Accenture and was immersed in the management consulting world for three and a half years. She was exposed to various projects related to finance, business strategy and digital transformation across industries. Realising opportunities that could be maximised through disruptive digital technology, Fatya is interested to integrate the SME landscape in Asia with technology.
Fatya decided to embark on the MBA programme at London Business School to expand her knowledge and increase her global exposure, having received a full scholarship from the Indonesia Ministry of Finance. She clearly made the right decision due to the programme’s global focus, high calibre candidates and alumni network. She is highly impressed by the exceptionally bright classmates from very diverse backgrounds and is happy to call them friends.
Over the summer, Fatya decided to take strategic role as Summer Associate at Bain & Company to sharpen her ability to think critically and put in practice all the lessons learned at school to the industry. She is now trying to maximize her MBA experience and is also exploring the technology startup scenes in London.
Outside classes, Fatya enjoys travelling and watching musicals. She is an active member of the Women in Business, TEDxLondon Business School, Consulting, Women’s Touch Rugby and Asia clubs.
