Farida was born and raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She later moved to Egypt for her undergraduate studies. She holds a double degree, Bachelor in Business Administration and a Bachelor in Communication in Media Arts from the American University in Cairo. She started her career at Ahli United Bank Egypt, as a Senior Corporate Analyst, covering the commodity and food & beverage sector. Before joining London Business School (LBS), she worked at Pharos Holding, an Egyptian investment bank, as an equity trader for a local institution and high net-worth clients.
Farida decided to pursue her Master in Finance at LBS to broaden her network globally by gaining exposure and learning from people of various professional backgrounds. She also wanted to develop her knowledge about global markets and acquire technical skills. She was a recipient of the Palm Hills Scholarship.
She has taken proactive roles in the Middle East Club, Investment Banking Club and Women in Business Club. She is passionate about football and is a big fan of Mo Salah. Her hobbies include running, reading and board games.
