My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Balancing applications with my studies

About me: I was born in China but my family moved to the United States when I was less than one years old. I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh, where I obtained degrees in Computer Science and Finance. During my undergraduate career, I spent two years working on a mobile rewards startup focused on driving foot traffic to retail stores. This was an incredible experience which helped further develop my leadership skills and passion for technology. Afterwards, I interned as a software engineer for a big data security firm in Beijing and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Additionally, I spent a summer as an investment banking summer analyst and even led a coding summer program for high school students. I also had the chance to spend a year studying abroad in the UK and Germany. During my year at LBS, I'm looking forward to combining my technical and business backgrounds by pursuing careers in technology and management consulting.
