Belen holds a Bachelor in International Affairs from Universidad de San Andres, Argentina, having done an exchange programme at Sciences Po, Paris. Belen did a Postgraduate programme on the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism at Universidad de Buenos Aires, and she further assisted in the development of the programme for the past three years.
Before joining London Business School (LBS), Belen developed her career in the field of financial crime for the past four years, working for the United Nations (US), the Presidency of Argentina, and HSBC Argentina. It was during this last experience, while providing advice on financial crime compliance to Global Markets, that Belen became very interested in further exploring the world of finance.
Building on her financial crime knowledge, Belen joined the Masters in Finance (MiF) at LBS to broaden her knowledge and explore other avenues of finance. She is a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship, funded by the UK Government.
In addition to being a Student Ambassador, Belen forms part of the LATAM Club and is currently doing an internship at Blue Knot Search Fund. She enjoys swimming, engaging with LBS community and drinking good wine.
