Academic Conference

Monday 10th June 2019


This conference brings together an international group of academics, faculty and PhD students, coming mostly from European business schools interested in Technology & Operations Management (TOM). The purpose of the conference is to feature the latest research from European researchers in the field of TOM and to develop and strengthen relationships among these research groups.

The conference will feature research of the type that appears in journals such as Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Operations Research. The conference will have a single track of 30-min presentations, half of which will be given by professors. Presentation of working papers is encouraged to receive early feedback.

The intent is to organise this conference on a yearly basis and to rotate its organization among 2-3 business schools that are centrally located in Europe.

There is no registration fee. London Business School will provide the following:


  • Conference lunch and cocktails at LBS
  • Closing dinner at Ishtar, 10-12 Crawford St, Marylebone, London W1U 6AZ
  • Hotel accommodation in Danubius Hotel Regents Park for the night of 9th June 2019 for attendees travelling from outside the UK (for the first 30 reservations).

What is not included are:

  • Travel to and from LBS or restaurant (flight, train, taxi).
  • Additional hotel nights (excluding 9th June 2019).
