Abstract

The goal of this research is to understand why and how certain corporate finance decisions are made. Are managers and market participants both rational or do managers make certain decisions because of irrational behaviour on their part or on the part of the financial markets? The research seeks to bridge the gap between academic theory and corporate behaviour.
