Kerttu holds a BSc Management (International Business Economics) from Alliance Manchester Business School and is also a member of the ACCA. After graduating, Kerttu joined Deloitte LLP as a financial services audit associate, followed by six years at Santander, where she worked in the Technology and Operations, Finance and Risk divisions in a variety of roles including governance and control, service quality, corporate control, banking and regulatory risk, financial control, accounting control (projects), statutory and technical reporting, liquidity risk and asset liability management market risk – enabling her to get exposure to different areas in order to understand how a bank works. Prior to pursuing the MiF at London Business School (LBS), Kerttu joined Barclays as an Assistant Vice President and currently works in the Treasury Division, focusing on Balance Sheet Management, Funding and Investments. Kerttu applied to LBS because the MiF is the most renowned post-experience finance degree. She wanted to study amongst the best candidates and learn from the best faculty in their fields. Kerttu enjoys sailing, music and spending quality time with family and friends. Kerttu is an active member of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers, sitting on their charity and education committee, and is on the membership committee of Little Ship Club.
