Karthik was born and raised in Bangalore, India. He moved to the United States to pursue his Computer Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University. A passion for both technology and finance brought him to New York City where he started his career at Morgan Stanley and later spent more than 5 years at Knight Capital Group (now KCG Holdings Inc.) in the dynamic field of algorithmic trading. Karthik wanted to further his business knowledge, broaden his vision and build close relationships with people from all corners of the world. Having lived in Asia and America, Europe was his next destination. London Business School, with its international diversity and fantastic reputation was the obvious choice. Karthik was actively involved with multiple student clubs in the first year. Apart from serving as a treasurer with the Student Association, he helped organize the LBS Hackathon 2015 as a part of the Entrepreneurship Club and the PEVC 2016 Conference as a part of the PE VC club. He led the technology treks to New York and Silicon Valley as a member of Tech & Media Club. Karthik has spent significant time immersing himself in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of LBS and London. He co-founded a fintech startup backed by Seedcamp, later spent his summer interning for a technology startup (craft.co) based in London and Silicon valley. He is looking forward to successfully transitioning his career from finance into technology sector especially in the entrepreneurial space.
