Josefina was born in Chile and has lived most of her life in the UK, with short stints in Argentina and Spain. She graduated from her bachelor’s degree in modern Iberian and Latin American regional studies at University College, London in 2013 and spent the next three years working as a consultant at Accenture. She worked on technology solution implementation and deployment before moving into the firm’s strategy practice, focusing on IT operating models and operational cost reduction. Consulting within the life sciences industry, Josefina discovered a passion for healthcare strategy and innovation which prompted her to undertake an MBA to strengthen her business background and transition into working in the industry. Josefina chose London Business School due to the incredible international diversity and wealth of extracurricular activities that the school offers. She is currently a co-president of the Healthcare Club at LBS and has taken on a senior role organising the annual global conference for the Women in Business Club. Josefina is excited to be back at LBS for a second year following a summer internship working as an EMEA solution lead within Johnson & Johnson’s healthcare innovation team. Her first-year highlights include travelling to 14 different countries on various treks and holidays with some of the amazing people she has met at LBS, and representing LBS at the annual MBA Tournament in Paris. She is currently working towards completing her MBA with concentrations in Strategy and Change Management and hopes to join a global healthcare organisation upon graduating.
