  • Nationality: Canadian/Russian

Alexandra is originally Russian, was born in Burundi and grew up in Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from McGill University.

Alexandra is a Co-President of the Entrepreneurship Club, where she leads the organization of several events and initiatives. Amongst others, she is involved in Launchpad, a programme that aims to expand London’s startup ecosystem by incubating ideas into prototypes and helping startups access mentorship and resources. After her first year, Alexandra interned in business development at Repositive, a tech startup located in Cambridge. Alexandra also co-founded Bolt Power with a few classmates during the summer, and the team is now working towards a full launch in London following a successful pilot.

Prior to LBS, she spent nearly three years at National Bank of Canada in Montreal in investment banking, where she was exposed to a wide variety of industries and transactions. Alexandra was also involved in her family’s optometry business in Montreal and led several initiatives to expand the business. She was attracted by London Business School for two reasons: the cultural and professional diversity of its student body and its location in the heart of vibrant and cosmopolitan London. She is constantly inspired by the quality, drive and energy of the university’s population.

Alexandra speaks four languages and has a wide variety of interests – Ballroom and Latin dancing, in which she competed for over seven years, gastronomy and literature.
