Carillion chairman and philanthropist Philip Green has been awarded a CBE for services to business and charity in the UK and Africa. The award came in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Green, who gained an MBA at London Business School (LBS) in 1977, founded Hope through Action with his wife, Judy, to change young South African lives for the better. Launched in 2007, the charity uses sport to help people develop life, leadership and coaching skills.
Since studying at LBS, Green has served as CEO of Royal P&O Nedlloyd, Director and COO of Reuters Group, and COO of DHL for Europe and Africa. Read his story here.
