Career coaching can assist you whether you are reviewing your career goals, planning your next job search, preparing for your next promotion or just feeling in need of a career check-up.

  • Career coaching provides objective, independent support to help you with your career decisions.
  • Each session is tailored to your needs and is completely confidential.
  • Coaches are experienced at working with senior executives at all career stages through to C-level.
  • Meetings are available by Skype or phone or face to face in London, New York, Hong Kong and Dubai.
  • Career coaching is available to alumni from all programmes, wherever you are in the world.
  • Each alumnus is entitled to two complimentary one-hour career coaching sessions per calendar year. (Additional sessions may be available, but are at the School's discretion. The coach will send you their availability so you can plan the meeting direct with them.)

Our coaches

Our coaches work with alumni in finance, consulting and corporate roles across industries, as well as entrepreneurs and those exploring portfolio careers, non-executive directorships, independent consulting and interim management, whether employed, unemployed, dealing with redundancy or looking to re-enter the workforce after a career break.

How to book a career coaching session

Email giving your name, programme and year, along with your location/time zone.

  • You are welcome to email your CV to the coach as background information.
  • Coaching is only by appointment; no drop-in service is available on campus.
  • Anticipate a two-week lead time on bookings.

Alumni Career Centre team

  • Natalie Simpson

    Senior Alumni Careers Manager

    Natalie is responsible for supporting alumni in transition with their job search and providing information and advice on their career management. She delivers this through managing and delivering one-to-one support, career workshops, career resources and access to job opportunities. Prior to joining LBS in 2010, she gained her degree in Sociology at Kingston University. Having started in the Central Events team, Natalie moved to the Career Centre in 2013 to take on the role of Alumni Career Centre Manager. Natalie has a passion for delivering workshops and career events for alumni to help sharpen their job search skills and learn how to effectively manage their careers.

  • Tessa Brett

    Alumni Careers Coordinator

    Tessa joined the team in May 2017 and supports Natalie in providing alumni with resources to assist them with their careers. Prior to this, she worked in the Executive Education team at LBS. She graduated from Queen Mary University of London in 2016 with a degree in Geography.

Career coaches

  • Lynne Allen

    New York

    Lynne specialises in working with professionals to assess and analyse career choices, research and understand industries and prepare for the interview process in proven and effective ways. She has established herself as a career consultant with a speciality in focusing on business school alumni and students. Lynne has worked for several leading business schools including Columbia, NYU Stern and Cornell Johnson. She is also on the coaching staff at CareerBeam.

    Lynne has more than 14 years of experience in corporate and executive recruiting at Colgate-Palmolive Company and Time, Inc. and two executive search firms. She has recruited professionals in a wide variety of functions, including finance and accounting, marketing, operations management, technology and human resources. Prior to corporate recruiting, she was a Vice President of Commercial Real Estate at Citibank in New York City.

    Lynne is a graduate of Connecticut College, holds a Certificate in Adult Career Planning and Development from NYU, is a member of the Association of Career Professionals International, the National Career Development Association, and the Association for Psychological Type, and is certified to deliver the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.

  • Karen Bassil


    Karen has a passion for working with professionals to help them identify their career goals, maximise their potential, enhance their personal brand and market themselves accordingly. She is a results-orientated coach with extensive experience in working with professionals on their career and personal development. Karen holds a Masters in Human Resources from Sorbonne, Paris and has been trained as a Corporate and Life Coach at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching in New Jersey.

    Prior to being a coach, she had a successful career as the HR Director for Majid AL Futtaim Ventures LLC, a large UAE company where she led the corporate talent development and recruitment initiatives. Before that, she was the Corporate HR Manager at General Electric, overseeing the recruitment function for Middle East and Africa. Karen has worked in Luxembourg, Paris, the US and the Middle East and is fluent in French, Arabic, English and Spanish.

  • Laura Renoldi


    Laura has more than 20 years of experience helping senior managers across geographies and sectors to define their professional objectives and identify the most effective ways to achieve them. Since 2011, Laura has been an independent executive and career coach, and at LBS currently works with the Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy and Senior Executive Programme participants.

    For 10 years Laura led the coaching and skills development practice for all the graduate programmes at LBS and was the dedicated coach for the most senior participants, the Sloans and Global Executive MBAs. Prior to LBS, Laura was a Director for a boutique career consultancy specialising in business leaders and worked with executive search firms Heidrick & Struggles and Curzon Partnership. She began her involvement in people development at SDA Bocconi, heading the Career Services and Marketing for all graduate programmes. Previously, she worked in strategy with a multinational chemical company.

    Laura has lived in London, Singapore and Italy. She holds an MSc in Coaching and Career Management from Birkbeck, University of London. Laura is also a qualified user of ability tests and developmental instruments including NEO PI-R, 360-degree feedback, emotional intelligence and other career development tools such as CareerLeader.

  • Nathalie Nahum


    Nathalie has worked in the field of career coaching and management for nearly 10 years, primarily in the finance industry. Formerly, Nathalie worked for 10 years in investment banking at Schroders in London (now Citigroup), as a member of its European team, managing the origination and execution of cross-border transactions. In 1999, she joined the Careers team at LBS as an Associate Director and was responsible for developing relationships with major investment banks and advising MiF, MBA and Sloan students.

    Nathalie has run her own coaching practice since 2001. Using a pragmatic and strategic approach to career management, she assists clients in identifying new career paths and helps them through the job search process. She also works on a consultancy basis at LBS.

    Nathalie is Strong certified (Fields of interests assessment test). She is a graduate from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris and has an MBA from the University of Ottawa. She is also an alumna of LBS's Corporate Finance and Investment Management programmes.

  • Nicholas Wai

    Hong Kong

    Nicholas is passionate about bringing out the best in people and their organisations. His interest in coaching stems from his own experience in personal transformation that saw him re-examining his career, passions and priorities, and taking bold steps in realigning and realising his personal and career visions. He facilitates corporate training programmes on coaching skills as a management and leadership resource, presentation skills, team effectiveness, personal leadership, intergenerational communication and change management.

    Nicholas is a graduate of the Master in Organisational Coaching at the University of Sydney, and has an MBA from LBS. He holds the credential of Associate Certified Coach from the International Coach Federation, as well as the CFA charter and CPA (Australia). He has more than 10 years of experience in various management positions in leading teams and managing P&L at one of the largest international banking groups in Hong Kong and as Finance Director at his family textile and garment business in Indonesia. He is the co-author of Much Ado About Coaching and Translating Coaching Codes of Practice. Nicholas is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
