The programme is designed for executives and mid- to senior-level managers with eight or more years of experience in management and leadership. This includes business unit leads or those who manage teams and are expected to improve division performance.

Understand the broad spectrum of ways AI can create value across your organisation.
Unlike similar programmes, Business of AI focuses on how you can use artificial intelligence to create value for your business, rather than the technology itself. It comprises two phases that will first provide a solid foundation based around the features of AI, before exploring your personal business challenge and data source. This will then allow you to select the correct AI technologies to optimise its use across your business.
Phase I
Module 1/Week 1: The business value of AI
Gain an understanding of the value AI has for today’s businesses. Discover the limits and capabilities of AI, common issues that occur and the wider implications AI and machine learning (ML) have.
Module 2/Week 2: What are AI and machine learning?
Examine AI’s limits and capabilities, including how LLM and GPT have recently changed the business landscape. Gain the ability to ask the right questions and have meaningful conversations by understanding exactly what AI does and the information needed to make well-informed decisions.
Module 3/Week 3: The Possibilities of AI
Study real-world examples of AI functioning in business. Explore how it has revolutionised businesses in multiple sectors and gain a broader understanding of how organisations are implementing these new technologies.
Module 4/Week 4: Leveraging AI to create value
Look at the real-world implication of implementing AI, including upsides and downsides, avoiding common pitfalls, and how to properly convey how AI will affect your business. Learn to properly plan and deliver effective AI projects.
Module 5/Week 5: Building AI capabilities
Investigate the skills needed to understand AI’s capabilities and develop the confidence to partner with specialists to scale its use across your organisation. Develop a mindset that sees data as a long-term resource for your organisation.
Phase II
AI implementation plan: make it real (30 days)
In this challenge, you will:
Provide your learning manager with a unique, personalised AI implementation plan.
Gain feedback from your learning manager through a live online clinic.
Present your executive summary to your organisation.
Take part in a debrief with faculty, who will provide insights into successful and problematic AI proposals.
This is a truly two-way experience, with live interactive sessions with faculty and learning managers. You will also benefit from a range of engaging digital content, including recorded video lectures and moderated discussions with learning mangers.
Create a playbook: Contextualise your learnings with a playbook you will develop yourself during the programme.
AI implementation plan: After the first five models, you will transition into implementation mode, activating your implementation plan and beginning the integration process within your organisation.
Learn from internationally renowned faculty: Through collaborative activities and an interactive digital classroom, you will benefit from guidance from strategy and entrepreneurship expert, Michael Davies, and other prominent London Business School professors.
Change your mindset and gain a new point of view: Engage in debate and discussion with your cohort of fellow, savvy business professionals.
Do I need to attend the whole Executive Education programme?
Yes. To optimise the learning experience for you and your cohort you will be expected to attend all programme sessions including group work and coaching sessions. You'll also be expected to take part in peer-to-peer learning.
Are the sessions live? And are they mandatory to attend?
No, you can complete the sessions whenever you choose to, as long as you meet the programme deadlines. For our self-paced flexible online programmes webinars are pre-recorded and uploaded to the learning platform and will be available to you throughout the duration of the programme.
Are all of your programmes delivered by LBS staff and faculty?
London Business School is collaborating with online education providers Emeritus, Pearson and Eruditus to deliver some of our programmes. For some programmes, the online education provider handles the registration process and will answer any questions you have about the programme, and whether it’s right for you.
