Evelyn Bourke EMBA1999

Evelyn Bourke EMBA1999 was appointed Bupa’s CEO in July 2016, having joined the company as CFO four years earlier. Previously she was CEO of the insurance group Friends Life’s Heritage division and worked at Friends Provident first as CFO and later as executive director responsible for strategy capital and risk. She has been finance director of Standard Life UK, CEO of Chase de Vere Investments and principal at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin.

Evelyn was a Non-Executive Director of the IFG Group in Ireland and a member of the CFO network established by the Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project. She has also been non-executive director of The Children's Mutual. Evelyn was one of the first two women in Ireland to qualify as actuaries. She began her career with New Ireland Assurance and Bank of Ireland.
