Web accessibility
This website aims to conform to level Double-A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.
These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conforming to them will help make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
How we test accessibility
We've tested the site thoroughly using Bobby™, a comprehensive Web accessibility desktop testing tool. Bobby™ helps to expose barriers to accessibility and encourages compliance with accessibility guidelines.
We've also used the Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 accessibility report function and taken action based on the results.
While we strive to adhere to the accepted standards for accessibility and usability, it's not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. If you have any difficulty in accessing the website, don't hesitate to contact us
W3C Standards
This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. It displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant XHTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.
Browser compatibility
The website has been tested and is compatible with the following web browsers:
- Internet Explorer 6 and above (PC)
- Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and above (PC and Mac)
- Safari 2.0 and above (Mac)
Some elements of the site make use of JavaScript. Every effort has been made to ensure that this code is compatible with all these browser versions.
The site is designed for a minimum screen resolution of 800x600 pixels and to accommodate larger resolutions when available. You can view the site in larger or smaller fonts by using your web browser's menus and toolbars.
Wherever possible the code is XHTML 1.0 compliant. Older browsers which are not standards compliant and which do not support XHTML will not be able to render pages correctly.
All formatting is achieved using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), thereby enabling users not using CSS or those using screen readers to make full use of the site.
