Website
Accessibility
London Business School is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
Web Accessibility Initiative
This website endeavours to conform to level Double-A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.
We have tested the site thoroughly using Bobby™ a comprehensive Web accessibility desktop testing tool. Bobby™ helps to expose barriers to accessibility and encourages compliance with existing accessibility guidelines, including Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act and the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We have also used the Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 accessibility report function and taken corrective action based on the results.
W3C Standards
This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant XHTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.
Exceptions
Whilst we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.
We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall accessibility. In the meantime should you experience any difficulty in accessing the website, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Browser compatibility
The website has been tested and is compatible with the following web browsers:
- Internet Explorer 6 and above (PC)
- Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and above (PC and Mac)
- Safari 2.0 and above (Mac)
Some elements of the site make use of JavaScript. Every effort has been made to ensure that this code is compatible with all browser versions listed above.
The site is designed for a minimum screen resolution of 800x600 pixels and to accommodate larger resolutions when available. You can view the site in larger or smaller fonts by using your web browser's menus and toolbars.
Wherever possible the code is XHTML 1.0 compliant. Older browsers which are not standards compliant and which do not support XHTML will not be able to render pages correctly. All formatting is achieved using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), thereby enabling users not using CSS or those using screen readers to make full use of the site.
