The London Classification of Business Studies

How our library material is arranged

In the London Business School Library, material is arranged according to the London Classification of Business Studies (LCBS).

This is one of the few classification schemes and thesauri that cater specifically for business literature and resources.

LCBS is used by a number of UK and international business schools, as well as several corporate libraries and information centres. The second edition of LCBS was published by Aslib in 1979 and has subsequently been updated and amended by London Business School. The most recent version was published in August 2005.

A graphical version of LCBS is available at http://conceptspace.london.edu/
