Faculty, students, staff, alumni and sponsors can access authoritative, up-to-date information in our Library.

Visit the Library to browse our books, journals, annual reports, market studies and reference titles. Or use it to borrow books, read today's newspapers or just as a quiet place to study.

Members of our academic community with access to Portal, the School's extranet, can also use our electronic library of over 90 databases.

Library news

Library closure: 4 July to 31 August

As part of the School's programme to improve the campus, works to create a dedicated Student Centre in Taunton Place have started.

Until 3 July at 17.00 the Library will remain open for all users, but please note there will be noise disruption throughout the building.

During the second stage of development (from 4 July to 31 August) the Library will be closed to all external visitors and alumni.  To access Library-only databases, alumni will be able to borrow laptops from the Alumni Relations office from 09.00 to 17.00, Monday to Friday.

A restricted service for current faculty, students and staff only will be offered from the portakabins in the car park on the main School campus.  Remote access to databases will be unaffected for all Library users.

The portakabin service begins on Monday 6 July - opening hours will be:
Monday - Friday: 09.00 - 19.00
Saturday: 11.00 - 16.00
Sunday: Closed

Training in June

Training for London Business School students and staff takes place in the Library or in 18 Park Road. Topics this month include Bloomberg (Introduction), Capital IQ (Introduction), Datastream (Introduction), Market Research Resources and Thomson Deals. To request a place, visit the online booking system now.

Business Monitor Online - new database

Business Monitor Online offers country risk assessment, industry and financial markets analysis and macroeconomic data and forecasts. The industry research covers: autos, chemicals, commercial banking, defence & security, food & drink, freight transport, information technology, infrastructure, insurance, oil & gas, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and tourism. BMO is available globally via Portal for students, faculty, staff and alumni of London Business School.
