India Business Forum 2007

The success of the India Business Forum continues, with an excellent conference entitled "India - Marching Ahead" on 23 May 2007.  In his role as Deputy Chairman of the Governing Body, and Chair of the Asia Regional Advisory Board, The Hon Apurv Bagri hosted the pre-conference dinner at the School.  Over 200 attendees came to hear speakers such as Praful Patel, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, India; Shanta Devarajan, Chief Economist, South Asia Region, at the World Bank and Dr Rajiv Lall, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at the Infrastructure Development Finance Company. 

Asia Business Forum 2007

The second Asia Business Forum was held on campus on 27 April 2007. The event was put together through the efforts of the student-led Asia Club and Chinese Interests Club, with support from the Asia Regional Advisory Board.  Over 140 speakers came to the newly established conference to hear speakers such as  Rodney Ward, Chairman of UBS Investment Bank, Asia and Jiaxin Shi, Minister Counsellor of Economic and Trade Affairs at the People's Republic of China, talk on the subject 'Gateway to China'.
