Kumar in top ten Global Indian Thought Leaders

Prof Nirmalya Kumar

London Business School's Nirmalya Kumar has been handed a major accolade by India's leading business newspaper.

The Economic Times ranked Kumar, who is Professor of Marketing and Co‐Director of the School's Aditya Birla India Centre, 10th in its annual 'Global Indian Thought Leaders' list.

Prof Kumar is a consultant, coach and seminar leader to more than 50 Fortune 500 companies in more than 45 countries.

The most powerful thought leader category was created to note the achievement of academics of Indian origin.

Influential author Ram Charan - consultant to many of the world's largest companies and coach to its CEOs - topped the rankings, despite not having a PhD or being attached to a university or business school.

The second thought leader on the list is Nobel laureate Amartya Sen of Harvard University, followed by Nitin Nohria, now dean of Harvard Business School.
