School scores high in FT league table
London Business School has again been ranked in second place by the Financial Times in its annual league table of European business institutions.
A total of 75 business schools are listed in the newspaper's European business school rankings. They are compiled by combining the five business school rankings published annually by the FT - the Global MBA rankings, the Executive MBA rankings, the Executive Education (customised and open) and the Masters in Finance ranking.
The School topped the rankings for the MBA and Executive MBA categories, which outline the average pay levels typically earned by an institution's alumni three years after graduating, giving a weighted average of the final salaries from the three years.
MBA graduates from the School earn an average $142,340 (£90,733) a year and Executive MBA achievers can expect an average salary of $305,306 (£194,614).
The table revealed that 98% of the School's faculty have a doctorate, 85% are from outside the UK and one in every four is female.
Eight entries in the top 10 are linked to either France and Spain, while seven other UK-linked schools feature in the top 20.
The School was also ranked in second place by the FT last year and in 2008.
