Fifth School win against Harvard, Insead and Wharton in inter-school wine-tasting competition

London Business School alumni triumphed over the competition at the ninth annual Pol Roger Wine Tasting competition hosted by Linklaters, making the winning tally five for London Business School, four for Insead and leaving Harvard yet to win.

The inter-business school competition saw alumni from London Business School, Insead, Harvard and, for the first time, Wharton, pit their taste buds against each other. Eight wines were tasted blind by ten teams of five. Team captain for London Business School Karl Evans (MBA24) said "The real stickler was the Tinta Barroca from Swartland, South Africa."

London Business School's winning team also included Herve Durand (MBA2002), Chris Kohut (MSc12), Kevin Evans (MBA2002) and Myles Allison (MBA97).

World-renowned wine authority and Master of Wine, Jancis Robinson, compered the evening in her usual elegant style and, at the end of the competition, she was presented with a £2,000 cheque for donation to Comic Relief.
