Panel 1: Understanding emerging markets
What do we mean by 'emerging markets'? This session will seek to define this term and further explore these markets as an economic phenomenon and one which leads western firms to focus on their potential for exports.

This panel session will discuss the latest trend of emerging market companies exporting and taking over companies in the west. Leading companies from Brazil, India and China will share their experiences on how they achieved true global success.

Having looked at the success of emerging market companies, we now look at the opposite end of the spectrum - how western companies can best exploit the opportunities available to them in the emerging markets. Leading companies who have successfully reinvented themselves will talk about how they changed and the strategies they adopted in order to succeed in these markets.
