The event is organized jointly by London Business School Career Services and the Energy Club at LBS.

The subject of the keynote presentation, 'Gas from Rocks' is particularly topical in the UK at the moment with the ongoing debate over what has become known as "fracking" which is a way of releasing gas trapped deep inside rocks. With some believing this will become a major source of energy, over the next decade, both in the UK and in many other regions that may not traditionally have been associated with hydrocarbon production, the keynote presentation will set the tone for the debate of the panel discussion:
- What impact is ‘fracking’ going to have globally and particularly in the region?
- What are the opportunities and challenges facing traditional oil & gas models in the GCC?
- What is the progress of renewable energy in the region? What are the main trends in this sector and how do we see it evolving in the next years?
- How are these trends, opportunities and challenges ultimately impacting on executive recruitment in these sectors? What kind of talent is the industry looking for?
