Speaker(s): George Soros
Inspiring stories from extraordinary people
We are delighted to invite you to Up Close with George Soros.
This lecture is the first in a new series of London Business School events designed exclusively for students.
George Soros is a renowned international financier, philanthropist and also the founder of the Open Society Institute. He will be on campus to share with us his latest economic and political thinking. His presentation will be based on a five-part lecture series recorded at the Central European University in October 2009 - a culmination of a lifetime of practical and philosophical reflection.
Essential Reading: In preparation for the Q & A session, you are strongly encouraged to familiarise yourself with the transcripts from George's Central European University lecture series, specifically (General Theory of Reflexivity) and (Financial Markets). You can also watch a short video online - see link.
We realise this is a last minute opportunity which falls within timetabled classes, therefore, your priority must be to attend your class if one is scheduled. If you are available to attend this event, seats will be allocated to students on a first come first served basis. For all students unable to attend on the day, we will be filming the event which will be available on portal.
