MiF scholarships
There is a variety of scholarships available to those offered a place on our Masters in Finance programme. The number and nature of scholarships tend to vary from year to year. Full details of how to apply for this year's scholarships will be given to candidates who are offered a place on the Programme.
- The Masters in Finance Alumni Scholarship. London Business School's Finance Programmes Office is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural Masters in Finance Alumni Scholarship. This scholarship is funded through the generosity of MiF alumni and has been established to help attract exceptional candidates with proven financial need to London Business School's MiF programme. The scholarship is open to all successful applicants to the full-time Masters in Finance. All qualified applications will be considered and successful candidates will be identified on financial need and merit. Two awards (amount £14,850 each).
- The Old Mutual Scholarship: London Business School is pleased to announce the launch of the Old Mutual Scholarship which has been established to help attract excellent candidates to the School's degree programmes. The scholarship is open to all successful applicants to the full-time Masters in Finance. All qualified applications are considered and successful candidates will be identified on merit alone. Recipients of the Scholarships may also benefit from mentoring opportunities with Old Mutual plc. Old Mutual plc is an international financial services group, whose activities are focused on asset gathering and asset management. - The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation – Fellows programme : We are pleased to launch this new programme which will offer scholarships for upto 5 successful applicants to pursue a full time MiF, MBA or Sloan Fellowship at London Business School. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation – Fellows programme aims to identify talented and ambitious candidates who are nationals of and resident in one of the following countries : Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen. Candidates are expected to have professional experience in the region. The award amount will cover tuition fees plus living and travel expenses (to be agreed individually with the Foundation). It is a condition of the award that applicants are legally bound to return to the region for at least two years of employment in the public or private sector upon completion of their studies.
- The Santander Abbey Scholarship: London Business School and Abbey National plc, Santander's UK subsidiary, are pleased to announce the inaugural Santander Abbey Scholarship funded by Santander Universities, which reflects their strong relationship with London Business School. The scholarship is open to all successful applicants to the full-time Masters in Finance who are nationals of one of the 11 countries in the Santander Universities' network (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom). One award (amount £20,000).
- The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust - African Scholarships are open to all successful applicants to the full-time Masters in Finance who are African nationals, and reside in Africa. Two awards (amount £7,000 each).
- The Women in Business Club Scholarship is open to all successful female applicants to a London Business School post-graduate degree programme, including the full- and part-time Masters in Finance. One award (amount £11,000).
- The Deutsche Bank Women's Scholarship is open to all successful female applicants to the full-time Masters in Finance. One award (amount £20,000).
The following scholarships were offered in 2007 and are subject to confirmation for 2008 programme entry.

The Citigroup Foundation Women's Scholarship is open to all successful women applicants to the full-time Masters in Finance. One award (amount £10,000).

The Merrill Lynch Industry Challenge is open to all successful applicants to the full-time Masters in Finance. One award (amount £10,000).

The Private Equity Club Scholarship is open to all successful applicants to the full-time Masters in Finance. This scholarship will give the winner good exposure to the private equity industry. One award (amount £5,000).

Further scholarships available to Masters in Finance participants include:
British Council
Award amount: Varied. From tuition only to full tuition plus living expenses.
Eligibility: Available from 160 countries around the world.
Overview: The British Council exists worldwide to promote educational, cultural and technical co-operation between Britain and other countries. Their local offices provide an invaluable source of funding information. They may also offer various scholarships ranging from tuition only, to full tuition plus living expenses. Each country administers different scholarship programmes and you should visit the British Council web site or contact your local office for further information on these. Many offices will only offer funding for one year of study. If this is the case, you should modify your financial planning accordingly and actively source other funding options for the Second Year of the Programme.

IDB-Japan Scholarship Program
Award amount: Varied
Eligibility: Students from any of the Bank´s borrowing member countries, which include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru
Overview: The scholarship provides benefits covering full tuition, university medical and accident insurance, an installation allowance, a monthly subsistence allowance, a book allowance, and economy class travel. Northern hemisphere programme application forms are distributed in March each year. The deadline for applications is mid-May, and selection is in early July.

Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships
Award amount: Up to US$25,000 for one academic year
Eligibility: This scholarship is open to citizens of any country in which there are Rotary clubs
Overview: While abroad, scholars serve as ambassadors of goodwill to the people of the host country and give presentations about their homelands to Rotary clubs and other groups.
