Flexibility and choice

We know that some people want to use an MBA to change the industry, function or country they work in.  Others see it  as a way of advancing their current career path more quickly. A growing number of students use the London Business School MBA to launch their own business.

Whether you are a career changer, a career advancer or an entrepreneur, our MBA gives you all the depth and breadth of a two year model plus the flexibility to tailor your studies and adjust the speed at which you graduate.  We offer you:

  • the ability to personally tailor your Programme and complete your studies in as little as 15 months (ideal for people who already have a strong network in their chosen industry and location, or who plan to return to their current employer)

  • the choice of a minimum of nine and a maximum of 12 electives, plus the flexibility to pace when you do them (perfect if your circumstances change and you find that you need to take a term off in your second year, perhaps for family reasons, or if you want to return to work as early as you can)

  • access to a selection of highly rated science and technology and real estate electives through our partnership with University College London

  • the ability to waive out of certain courses (Financial Accounting, Statistics, Micro Economics and IT) and to take an additional elective in your first year

  • the opportunity to pursue a three month internship during the summer when you can "try out" a new employer and, hopefully, receive a permanent job offer

  • the chance to go on international exchange regardless of whether you take the 15 month option or the full 21 months to complete your MBA

  • a choice in when you decide to fast track: unlike many other schools you do not have to choose the fast track option before enrolling on the Programme.

'I chose the middle path – completing in 18 months - it gives me time to really understand and practically employ my learning and permits me to be available to employers earlier than a regular two year MBA graduate.'
