Financing your MBA
London Business School strongly advises applicants to research all available financing options well in advance of submitting an application. All applicants should aim to maximise their savings and minimise their debt before starting the programme in order to increase their borrowing capacity.
When researching the cost of the MBA Programme, you should take into account the potential earning opportunities that students have while on the programme.
- MBA2008 summer internship salaries averaged £1,003 (US$2,081) per week for up to 12 weeks.
- MBA2008s earned an average of £100-£300 per day for their Second Year Project (25-30 days duration).
Loan schemes and scholarships
The funding pages, that can be accessed through the links on the right of this page, contain information on the various funding sources used by London Business School students including company sponsorship, scholarships and loan schemes. The most common ways of funding the MBA are through the HSBC - London Business School Loan (available to domestic and international students), US Federal Stafford and top up loans (for US citizens and residents) and the Association of MBA loans (available to UK nationals and residents only).

Tuition fees for the class commencing August 2009 (MBA2011) are £45,500 (This covers the full 15-21 months of tuition).
Fees include tuition, course materials, configuration of personal laptop computers (which meet the School's specification), and a contribution to the London Business School Students' Association. The fee does not include living expenses which vary according to your circumstances and lifestyle (See table below).
Payment of fees
If you are offered a place on the MBA Programme, you will be given a specific date by which you should respond and pay a non-refundable Commitment fee of £1,500 should you decide to accept your offer.
