Centre for Marketing

Overview

 

The Mission of the Centre for Marketing is to help improve the practice of marketing through rigorous and relevant research.

Run by the Marketing faculty at London Business School, the Centre provides a platform for its supporters to widen their perspective on marketing practice, through exposure to some of the best research and teaching on marketing theory and practice.

Our activities include:

1. Seminar Series: A programme of monthly evening presentations on recent research from our marketing faculty together with lessons learnt from real life by leading marketing practitioners, which encourages lively discussion and exchange of ideas.  At each event we explore an issue from an academic standpoint and then aim to match that against the experience of leading practitioners in the appropriate field.  Topics range from customer relationship marketing, to brands, advertising, the examination of new business models and recent case studies. Each seminar is followed by a 'networking' reception to allow for further discussion. 

2. Evening Programme: an interactive programme for marketing professionals, typically the rising stars within companies, which offers the chance to discuss, re-visit and critique core-marketing principles.  Based on the material used on the MBA course, it is an opportunity to examine marketing roles from a wider perspective, and gain insights from a range of industries into the features of marketing strategies across many different sectors. 3. Marketing Insight: our quarterly publication explores issues and challenges faced by marketing practitioners across the globe, profiling recent marketing research, events and executive education.  Please click here to subscribe to our newsletter.
