Private Equity
Content
Private Equity is structured along several main themes:
- private equity as an asset class
- understanding the structure of a private equity fund, the way it operates and governs its portfolio companies
- deal selection, screening, and valuation
- transaction and harvesting.
These themes cover the different stages of private equity investment: from the time at which an investment is considered to the exit stage where the value of the investment is realised. Multiple industry leaders who have shaped this industry are invited as guest speakers so that participants can truly capture the industry process.
The programme explores a variety of real-world private equity deals covering emerging markets, European and other international markets, and from legal, financial and operational standpoints. This provides the opportunity to truly understand the goings-on behind the scenes of the deals, necessary in order to develop the skills required in the industry.
Interactive cases, lectures and industry speakers
The programme uses a combination of interactive case-based teaching, formal lectures and top level industry speakers. During case analyses, the participants review and debate real decisions faced by the protagonists in real private equity transactions.
