Our finance faculty is recognised as one of the most pre-eminent groups of finance academics in the world.
The faculty who teach on the Hedge Funds Programme are:
Narayan Naik BTech (IIT Mumbai) MBA (IIM) PhD (Duke) has played a key role in developing the finance group as Director of the PhD programme, the Investment Management Evening Programme and, more recently, as Director of the BNP Paribas Hedge Fund Centre. His research interests include performance measurement, portfolio selection, risk management and market microstructure. He has published a significant body of work in these areas in top academic and practitioner journals. Narayan's recent research paper, co-authored with Professor William Fung, in the Journal of Finance is the foundation on which the JP Morgan Alternative Beta Reference (JPM ABR) Index is based. He currently serves on the JPM ABR index committee.
William Fung PhD (London) PhD (Manchester) is a Visiting Research Professor of Finance. He is a leading expert on hedge funds, both through research and hands-on involvement in management and consultancy. Bill currently serves on the JPM ABR index committee and other advisory boards of hedge funds as well as financial services companies. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maple Financial Group, Canada, and a member of the Supervisory Board of Maple Bank GmbH.
