What we do
The Service Operations and Technology Group is a specialist unit, researching and teaching areas of:
- operational competitiveness
- service and experience design
- supply chain and technology management.
Work falls into four main areas:
- service management and e-service
- e-business, supply chain and manufacturing
- benchmarking and operational improvement
- technology management.
The group also develops teaching tools and materials such as simulations and case studies.
History of the group
The Service Operations and Technology Group was formed in 1993, at the outset of major economic changes brought by technology and the internet. Its work in operations and technology management, both in manufacturing and service industries, receives international recognition.
