Professor Dick Brealey’s
research interests include corporate finance, investment management,
international finance, capital markets and intermediation.
His publications include: Principles of Corporate
Finance and Fundamentals of Corporate Finance and his research has
appeared in journals such as the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal
of Applied Corporate Finance.
In addition to being Emeritus
Professor of Finance at London Business School, he is director of the Swiss
Helvetia Fund and deputy chairman of the Balancing and Settlement Code Panel.
He is also Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance,
advisory editor of Economic Notes and a member of the Advisory Board of
He was formerly a special
adviser to the Governor of the Bank of England and Tokai Bank Professor of
Finance at London Business School. He
has held visiting appointments at the University of California (Berkeley), the
University of British Columbia, the University of Hawaii and the Australian
Graduate School of Management.
