Strategy

This module will broaden your strategic thinking, increases your sensitivity to elements important to creating a fresh strategic vision and helps you channel new ideas effectively. You will explore the concept of disruptive innovation, focusing on how you can continually create sources of inspiration and build new strategic positions. 

In addition during this module you will learn to:

  • Explore strategic innovation, how to achieve it and how to respond cleverly to disruptive innovation
  • Improve your strategic agility by shifting your organisation's view of time from 'predict, plan and implement' to 'observe, anticipate and execute'
  • Assess how your business views, creates and sustains shareholder value
  • Increase your effectiveness as a change agent by aligning your strategy with your organisation's processes, incentives, culture and financial goals.

 

Leadership

This module on the Senior Executive Programme uses in-depth analysis of leadership behaviour to help you analyse your leadership style and effectiveness in context. You will also explore in depth authenticity, adaptability and awareness by posing the question why should anyone be led by you? In addition you will explore how to reveal yourself, connect deeply with your teams, communicate a clear and actionable vision and the role your personal vision plays in inspiring others

Also during this module you will learn to:

  • Examine your self, team, organisation and world as well as the motivations that drive each
  • Examine how to build a high performing team who can work together towards a shared vision and values
  • Review your leadership style, challenges and biases through the 360-degree feedback process
  • Discuss the role of corporate social responsibility and ethics in multicultural environments
  • Discover the art of authentic leadership by building your personal story to demonstrate your leadership vision and to inspire others
  • Gain leverage in your organisation by understanding more about strategically developing talent.

 

Transformation

Through this module of the Senior Executive Programme, you'll explore how to stop individual change efforts from stalling by linking the many change efforts happening in your organisation. The programme will also encourage you to see how personal transformation and enhanced leadership skills are critical to creating the future for your organisation.

In addition during this module you will learn to:

  • Align your organisation's future strategy with its current capabilities and articulate a clear plan for execution.
  • Understand and address factors which derail the most straightforward
    transformation agendas.
  • Prepare yourself for managing in the midst of uncertainty and developing markets
  • Rediscover the science of good decision making and how to build the competency to improve organisational agility and performance
  • Understand how to unleash the inspiration, creativity and excitement required to transform your organisation
  • Uncover the natural tensions associated with leading organisation -wide change and radical innovation while maintaining success in your current business
  • Evaluate the need to lead your own corporate revolution, related obstacles and how to overcome them
  • Examine the key steps to enrol your organisation and increase influence over key stakeholders.

The Senior Executive Programme Overview

Not just a four-week programme, but also an eight-month leadership development path to achieve lasting change.

Pre Programme

  • Individual application review

Week One
Preparing for the journey

  • Week one focuses on building relationships, skills and teams to get the most value from your Senior Executive Programme experience.

 

Week two and three
The journey

  • Weeks two and three expose you to new concepts, ideas, perspectives and debates with peers, faculty and experts, shedding light on the range of possibilities.

 

Week Four
Reaching your goal

  • Week four focuses on the new perspective gained from reaching the pinnacle of your journey.
  • All programme elements come together as you view things from a new vantage point, informed by your heightened understanding of your team, organisation and world.
  • Able to see the horizon more clearly, you will begin to craft the most successful way to lead your team to the next goal.

 

Post Programme

  • Follow up one-to-one conversations with the Programme Director and tutor
  • Repeat 360-degree survey (six months after Senior Executive Programme graduation)
  • Exclusive access to continued peer networking and faculty through SEP Plus, an executive portal tailored to meet the ongoing needs of our elite SEP alumni
  • Full London Business School alumni status.

 

 

More than a business education


The Senior Executive Programme is an intensive learning experience but also provides time and space to consider future goals. During your four weeks you will be able to stand back and disengage from the day-to-day work. You will form lasting friendships and establish an international peer network that you can continue to draw on to help sustain your learning.
