Who's it for?

As an Accelerated Development Programme participant you will be highly motivated, keen to learn and develop new skills. As an experienced functional or specialist manager you will typically already have gained 10 to 15 years' relevant management experience. Crucially, you are just about to make, or have recently made, the transition into general management.

Who you learn with is almost as important as what you learn. To secure the right balance of sectors, business contexts and cultures, the programme director interviews every applicant and leads a rigorous selection process. This process ensures you will be joining a balanced mix of experienced managers at your level. Alternatively, your roles and responsibilities could include:

• Managing specific business units or divisions
• Leading a major cross-functional project
• Developing corporate level plans or policies
• Responsibility for organisation-wide systems or activities

Diverse range of backgrounds

To truly understand the global leadership perspective it is crucial to learn with people from all over the world. More than 85 different nationalities have joined the ADP on more than 60 programmes in its 17-years history. On every programme three quarters of the group are from a range of nationalities outside of the UK. Participants also come from a diverse range of industries and backgrounds, including marketing, operations, finance, consultancy, human resources and project management. Ambitious and motivated, they have solid records of achievement in managing people and resources. Individuals are rotated around groups of five or six to maintain a lively mix of ideas and cultural experience.
