Admissions
The success of the Dubai-London Executive MBA depends on the active participation of all students. With a substantial amount of work undertaken in study groups, your innate qualities are as vital as your skills and track record. We are looking for people who have the right balance of business background, personal characteristics and academic ability. To be short-listed for an interview, applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
- competency in the management of people, budgets, clients or processes over a sustained period
- a proven track record as a member or leader of a team
- a strong motivation for doing an MBA
- an undergraduate degree granted by a recognised university, or other suitable professional qualifications
- a keen interest in pursuing a career with an international context
- although the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is not a requirement, we would encourage candidates to take the GMAT in the knowledge that a good score would positively support your application.
Work experience
Our students have on average 9-10 years full-time work experience, at least four of which are managerial. It is this experience which is one of the key differentiators of the Executive MBA at London Business School, and is one of the reasons why students learn as much from their peer group as they do from their formal classes.
Management experience is a broad term. Generally speaking, it refers to managing people and/or budgets or managing projects. We are looking for people who have significant responsibility and are in a position to apply their learning.
Why is an Executive MBA right for you?
The Dubai-London Executive MBA is a highly intensive programme and it is important you apply for the right reasons. The essays you write as part of your application help us understand why you wish to do the EMBA, your long-term career goals and the contribution you can make in the classroom. The programme is a big commitment and it makes sense to determine that you are right for the programme and that it is right for you.

GMAT
The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is not a requirement for admission to the Dubai-London Executive MBA programme. However it provides useful information about quantitative and verbal reasoning abilities and gives us a useful benchmark to judge applicants across degree subject, academic institution and nationality. We would encourage candidates to take the GMAT in the knowledge that a good score would positively support your application.
Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) works with Pearson VUE in the administration of the GMAT. For further information about the GMAT and how to register:
