Management Science and Operations
The Management Science and Operations (MSO) faculty are involved in teaching and research activities in decision modelling and analysis, optimisation and simulation techniques, information systems design and evaluation, operations, logistics, and supply chain management. The group's emphasis is on developing models to improve business performance and applying technology innovations to improve competitiveness across many functional areas and industry sectors.
Management Science & Operations courses are a core part of the MBA, Executive MBA and PhD programmes and the subject area offers specialised courses on advanced forecasting methodologies, computer based financial modelling, market trading, project management and strategic modelling. MSO also offers short executive courses and company specific programmes on a range of topics. The department has an active programme of conferences and seminars.
