Centre for Creative Business

About Us

The Centre for Creative Business is here to inspire, educate and equip creative industry management teams. Our unique business courses, mentoring schemes, conferences, events, business networking clubs and media are all designed to do one thing: help 'the best of the best' in our creative industries – TV, music, advertising and marketing, all fields of design, film, creative software and architecture – to build more scalable, profitable and sustainable businesses.

The Centre for Creative Business (CCB) is a not-for-profit joint venture between Europe's best business school, London Business School, and Europe's largest creative university, University of the Arts London.

The work of the CCB was praised and supported by the government's recent Creative Economy Programme and has received recognition from key figures within public bodies, trade organisations, education and Creative Industry businesses. The CCB is currently producing a research paper with support from the media and entertainment law firm Harbottle and Lewis and has contributed case studies to the Department of Culture Media and Sport's forthcoming Green Paper on the Creative Industries.

Our World Class Courses

Our courses are being designed and delivered by the best faculty from London Business School and University of the Arts London as well as experienced business mentors.

Building the Creative Business – a high-impact executive education course over three three-day modules (Thursday am to Saturday pm) will transform the future of creative entrepreneurial businesses that take part. It is aimed at professionals currently working in emerging creative businesses to help them take their business to the next level. In our first year there are spaces for just fifteen companies. We aim to accept two senior executives from each of these businesses, and successful applicants in this first year will benefit from a course price heavily subsidised by our initial government funding. The next BCB module starts on 17 April 2008.

New Creative Ventures – an internal MBA elective which brings together London Business School students and Masters students from University of the Arts London. The goal of this course is to understand and identify the process by which creative ideas are turned into commercial ventures in both start-up and corporate environments. The next elective starts in Autumn 2007.
