Why choose this programme?

Effective leadership
Sloan is a transformational opportunity for established senior executives or successful entrepreneurs looking to move into positions of organisational leadership. It focuses on you and your leadership journey, and how you impact an organisation and its position in the global environment. Building on your strengths and experience of leadership, you tap into the latest management knowledge and insights, and learn to create value for your current or future organisation.

Experience matters
Study alongside executives, professionals and entrepreneurs with an unrivalled mix of seniority and diversity in a truly exciting and enriching international learning experience. The full-time format helps you build lasting bonds as a group that continue long after the programme ends.

World-class faculty
Sloan Fellows are taught by some of London Business School's most highly regarded and experienced faculty from around the world. You benefit from their academic excellence and their real-world experience as consultants and directors for major organisations. The connection between cutting-edge research, real-life experience and class interaction delivers a powerful learning experience.

Tailored curriculum
The academic content of Sloan is tailored explicitly to the needs of senior executives. Three cross-cutting themes, essential for effective leadership, underpin the core courses on Sloan: leadership and change, strategy, and globalisation. The portfolio of Business Skills for Leaders maximises your personal and professional effectiveness.

Flexibility
There are opportunities to shape the format and content of the programme to meet your personal and professional objectives. You complete the core courses in seven months. Your choices from the extensive elective portfolio then allow you to focus on specific subject areas in depth, or explore new areas. Subject to visa conditions, you may also choose to integrate your elective choices with your return to the workplace.

Beyond the classroom
Gain inspiration from some of the world's most influential and powerful people in business and politics. Tap into the many social activities available to Sloans and their families. Utilise the extensive global networks of contacts, friends and future colleagues from the School's alumni database.

An established programme
London Business School has been offering the Sloan programme since it was launched by Professor Charles Handy in 1968. The programme has since graduated well over 1,000 Sloan Fellows who have gone on to thriving leadership careers across the world. Sloan is offered at only two other institutions worldwide - MIT and Stanford - making London Business School the only school to offer the Sloan programme in Europe.
